Tour d Afrique not allowed to play golf.

Taken riding from Arusha to Mbeya during the heavy rains.
Today we were suppose to be playing golf.  We all turned up dressed for Luke's birthday and bash and were told by the manager of the Lilongwe Golf Club we were not allowed to play because Luke was wearing a pair of jeans.  His jeans were slightly better than my stained dirty cotton pants which had zipper leg attachments.  It didn't worry us too much, still got some cool photos and gave us more time to check out the rest of the capital on our last day in the capital.

Just a walk back in time to the 15th January, 2011, the day this journey began.

Having the bicycles cleaned after 120kms playing in the mud.
tomorrow we take the long road west to Lusaka the capital of Zambia.  This will take 4-5 long riding days with a rest day, then another 3 to Victoria Falls.   So I'm looking forward to getting back on the bike as I've now signed up to be a racer.

My goal is to win one stage over the next 5 weeks of riding.  Once again Matt will in charge of doing the website updates.  Good health to all my friends and family, and to my major sponsor for this section Cottonwood Lodge, Australia.
